Trip Summary****

19 July (day 1)

Airport pickup and hotel check in.

Depending on the time of arrival, this would be a good day to get your bearings and explore BA’s Museums.

In the evening we are introduced to Argentinian culture at a fun and lively tango show – which is where we’ll also have our welcome dinner.

Thursday 20th July (day 2)

City Tour of Buenos Aires, the Paris of the South. We’ll visit the different areas that make up the tapestry that is Buenos Aires, including the upscale La Recoleta with its Haussmanian style hosues, La Boca and its colourful buildings and lively markets, The Teatro Colon, Cemeterio La Recoleta (where the famed Eva Peron is buried), Catedral Primada, Plaza de Mayo and the famous Casa Rosada or Pink House which dominates the area.

Friday 21st July (day 3)

On this day we will go to the Tigre River Delta to explore the slow side of Argentina. See beautiful Summer homes and enjoy the cool breeze.

Saturday 22nd July (day 4)

Morning flight to El Calafate

Afternoon 4x4 excursion along the shores of Argentino Lake. The excursion is mainly focused on the first contact of the explorers with the natives, and then enters the Tehuelche world. On the shore of the lake you may see the caves where this cultures left their mark on the rocks thousands of years ago, which now allow us to interpret them.

The excursion ends in another cave where we will have a beautiful private dinner in nature.

Sunday 23rd July (day 5)

Morning pickup to Los Glaciares National Park to see the Perito Moreno Glacier.

Upon arrival to the National Park, our guide will show us the different walkways from where you will be able to walk in front of the colossal ice wall, and, if you are lucky, perhaps see some landslides.

We will start the adventure from the main balcony and then, have some free time to wander freely until the meeting time agreed with our guide.

Later, we’ll take a 1-hour boat ride to sail along the massive glacier wall that rises 240 feet above Argentino lake and in between floating icebergs. On this tour, we will go on a cruise across Lake Rico, passing in between icebergs that have calved off the front of the Perito Moreno glacier. Reaching the Icebergs Channel, the boat will stop at a safe distance from the glacier to continue to sail down its front, allowing for spectacular views of the ice wall and any breaking and floating icebergs.

Monday 24th July (day 6)

Morning flight to Ushuaia

We will embark on a 3-hour long boat trip along the famous Channel, and gain panoramas of Ushuaia Bay, where the city lies proudly crowned by the Martial Glacier. Unearth the diverse marine wildlife, such as cormorants (flying birds, closely related to penguins) and fur seals.

Argentina standing at your left and Chile at your right, you will sail this natural border till reaching the iconic Les Eclaireurs lighthouse, the ancient guard of the bay.

Tuesday 25th July (day 7)

Today we’ll go to the end of the world!

We start the day experiencing the unique and impressive landscapes of Tierra del Fuego by vehicle and also on foot, hiking on easy to moderate trails through the dense green forest with the insight and support of an expert guide.

After the scenic tour, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in a heated, comfortable, and very spacious refuge

Later in the day we will take a train which was used to take prisoners to labour camps “at the end of the world”. Today it’s a lovely experience which allows you to enjoy the views of the landscape around you.

Wednesday 26th July (day 8)

Hotel checkout and transport to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires

Wednesday 27th July (day 9)

Free day in Buenos Aires until your pickup time to go to the airport for your flight home
