About Blue Book
Established in 2019, Borne out of a combination of a love for travel and a desire to learn more about different cultures and seek new experiences. We offer culturally-focused group trips for individuals who share our sense of curiousity and adventure, but want to do so in comfort. The name “book” alludes to the cultural and educational aspect of our trips, and “blue” as a nod to our Kuwaiti roots. Combined, “Blue Book” is also the physical description of a Kuwaiti passport, which is blue in colour and is the document that allows one to travel across borders.
Meet Faris
Faris Almussalam, born in Kuwait in 1986 and spent significant chunks of his life living abroad in Ankara, Casablanca, Tunis, London, and Manchester. Due to his international upbringing, he adds a unique perspective to the team, and has a great appreciation for the cultural differences that make the world a more exciting and colorful place. His role within Blue Book is to bring you closer to the host country’s culture, by seeing how they live their daily lives, eat, worship, and have fun. Where possible, we will participate alongside them and come away with the notion that despite our differences, we are all the same.
Meet Mohammad
Mohammad Al Maula, was born in Kuwait in 1980, spent a part of his childhood in Edinburgh, and worked in Kuala Lumpur for a number of years. He comes from a family with a serious appreciation for the arts in all its forms and understands the value and power it has in creating and promoting a cultural identity. Thus, as part Blue Book, Mohammad will bring you in tune with the country’s beating heart by attending and participating in live musical or theatrical performances.
Vision
Mission
To make each trip a fun, hands-on experience by partaking in each place’s traditions, food, art, and natural beauty. We will visit places of national and historical importance, and drive off the beaten track to explore the country’s wild side.
Values
Open-mindedness, spirit of adventure, positivity, and respect.
What makes our trips special

Cultural focus
Participate in first hand – whether it be a cooking class, pottery lesson, drumming session, having tea and sweets with a geisha, or visiting and interacting with tribes in their native villages.

Small Groups
Three to eight travellers, which means that the group leader can give the everyone more attention and allows for the group to create bonds more easily.

Professional Local Guides
All of the local guides we select are experienced, officially accredited, and experts in their fields, while some are academics. What unites them is the passion for what they do and the way they can deliver a message without it feeling like a lecture.

Country Selection
We select countries that are sometimes out of the spotlight or are sometimes misrepresented. Our visits prove that those countries have a lot to offer in terms of rewarding meaningful experiences.
