Day 1 27 May

Arrival into Almaty. Check in to hotel .
Afternoon city tour (including Victory Square, cathedral, and Green Market).
Koktobe Hill
Kazakh dinner

Day 2 28 May

Hunns Ethnographic Village outdoor museum
Experience includes Shashu welcome ritual, learn how to bake local puffy bread, yurt construction, and national horse show games.
After lunch return to Almaty for free time.

Day 3 29 May

Morning flight to Turkestan
Explore 2000 year old ruins of Otrar (Farab) – one of the most important cultural and trade centers of the Silk Route.
Visit mausoleum of Arystan Bab
Dinner and free time in the city

Day 4 30 May

Visits to important cultural sites including Azret Sultan historical complex, Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, and Karavan Saray Complex.

Day 5 31 May

Morning flight to Astana
Tour of the city including Baiterek Tower, Nur Zhol boulevard, Independence Square, and National Museum.
Dinner in beautiful traditional Kazakh restaurant


Day 6 1 June

Studio visit of local jewelry master to learn how to master the craft.
Continue city tour to visit the Expo Area and Nur Alem (world’s largest spherical building), and Central Asia’s largest mosque.
Free time in the evening.

Day 7 2 June

Morning flight to Almaty
Head directly to Charyn Canyon and enjoy beautiful natural scenery.
Drive through the Valley of the Castles and picnic along the shores of the Charyn River.
Continue to Satty village and overnight at nature lodge.

Day 8 3 June

Walk towards the shores of Kolsay Lake and enjoy a boat ride.
Travel towards another unique location, Kaindy Lake, which has tall Fir tree spikes that pierce its transparent surface.
Afternoon drive back to Almaty

Day 9 4 June

Learn to cook local Kazakh dish with professional chef in his studio.
After lunch visit local felt artist to create your own traditional hat!

Day 10 5 June

Free day in Almaty to rest, do some shopping, or sightseeing on your own.
Farewell Dinner

Day 11 6 June

Pickup for your flight home
