Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Arrival in Lisbon
Your adventure begins upon arrival at Lisbon Airport, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, strolling through the vibrant streets of this historic city.

Day 2: Lisbon History & Culture
Embark on a fascinating walking tour of Lisbon, visiting highlights such as the Chiado area, Baixa downtown, and the lively Cais do Sodré. Don’t miss the iconic pink street, and be sure to try the local codfish cake. The day continues with a visit to Belem to explore its rich history, including the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos and the Discoveries Monument. End the day at the famous Pastéis de Belém bakery, home of the original custard tart.

Day 3: Day Trip to Sintra
Discover the fairytale town of Sintra with a visit to the Pena Palace and scenic Cabo da Roca. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely lunch in the charming seaside town of Cascais.
Day 4: Arrábida National Park & Fado Night
Spend the day immersed in nature with a visit to Arrábida National Park, Palmela Castle, and the Lapa de Santa Margarida. Enjoy a fresh fish lunch in Sesimbra or Setúbal before heading back to Lisbon for a traditional Fado dinner and performance.
Day 5: Obidos & Almourol Castle
Explore the medieval beauty of Obidos, a picturesque village surrounded by ancient walls, and visit the stunning Almourol Castle set on a small island in the Tagus River.
Day 6: Moorish Lisbon & Pastel de Nata Workshop
Dive into Lisbon's Moorish past with a guided tour, then learn how to make the city’s most famous pastry, the Pastel de Nata, in an interactive workshop.
Day 7: Day Trip to Évora
Venture into the Alentejo region with a visit to Évora, home to the Roman Temple and the Chapel of Bones. You’ll also explore the ancient cave paintings at Gruta do Escoural.
Day 8: Azulejos Workshop
Get hands-on and creative at a workshop dedicated to Portugal's iconic azulejos—colorful ceramic tiles that are a hallmark of Portuguese art.
Day 9: Funchal, Madeira
After checking out of your Lisbon hotel, fly to the island of Madeira for a relaxing afternoon. Explore the town of Funchal, enjoy its beautiful scenery, and check into your hotel in the Old Town.

Day 10: Madeira Island Tour
Explore Madeira’s natural beauty with a day-long tour. Highlights include Girao Cape, the peak of Ariero, and the traditional houses of Santana. You’ll also visit the Valley of the Nuns and enjoy a Levada walk, a scenic trek through Madeira's unique irrigation channels. The day concludes with a picnic lunch in the island’s breathtaking landscape.
Day 11: Madeiran Cooking Experience
Delve into the island’s culinary traditions with a visit to a local farm for a cooking class. Learn to make the island's famous Espetada (grilled beef skewers) and Poncha (Madeiran rum cocktail), followed by a delicious farm-to-table lunch.
Day 12: Return to Lisbon
Fly back to Lisbon and spend a free day at leisure, exploring the city’s shops, cafés, and historic sites.
Day 13: Departure
Check out from your hotel and transfer to Lisbon Airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories from your journey through Portugal.

Getting Around Lisbon
Lisbon is a walkable city, but be aware of its hilly terrain. For longer journeys, you can easily use Uber or public transport.
What to Pack
Bring light but warm clothing, comfortable shoes for walking, a camera to capture the stunning views, and a small bag for day excursions. Don’t forget any personal medications and sun protection!
Weather
In April, Lisbon enjoys mild weather with daytime highs of around 20°C and cool evenings. Funchal offers pleasant temperatures between 15-21°C, perfect for outdoor activities.
